Abstract:Objective To observe the efficacy of shuxuetong injection to prevent postoperative deep vein thrombosis (DVT) formation in patients of tibial fractures with intramedullary nailing fixation. Methods Eightynine patients were randomly divided into study group (43 cases) and control group (46 cases) ; study group was treated by shuxuetong injection; control group were treated by low molecular weight heparin. After two weeks treatment, the incidence of DVT in lower limb was observed by B ultrasound. Results The incidence of DVT in study group was lower than that of control group [5 cases(11.6%)vs 6 cases(13.0%)].Average daily cost of anticoagulation in study group was significantly lower than that of control group.Endothelin level in study group before treatment,3 days and 14 days after operation was (30 ±9),(80 ±9),(45 ±9) ng/L; in control group it was (32 ± 9),(83 ± 9),(52 ± 9) ng/L.Conclusions Shuxuetong injection can effectively prevent the occurrence of postoperative DVT in tibial fracture patients with intramedullary nailing fixation.
