Clinical observation of rhabdomyolysis caused by cerebral infarction

Abstract：Objective To analyze the clinical characteristics of 3 cases of rhabdomyolysis (RM)caused by cerebral infarction.Methods Data of 3 hospitalized patients with RM caused by cerebral infarction was collected,including clinical manifestations,laboratory tests,treatment and prognosis.Results Serum creatine kinase (CK)and myoglobin (Mb)levels in 3 patients with RM caused by cerebral infarction significantly increased.3 cases all suffered from severe acute renal failure (ARF).One patient survived.Two died.Conclusions The patients with RM caused by cerebral infarction are critical and easily suffered from ARE The mortality is high.Prompt diagnosis and comprehensive treatment including nephroprotection and hemodialysis are most important.
