The study on the clinical characteristics and endoscopic treatments of mture varioliform gastritis

Abstract：Objective To investigate the clinic characteristics of mature varioliform gastritis,and to analyze the merits of endoscopic treatments compared with flaws.Methods The clinical symptoms,the pathological characteristics and the rate of Helicobacter pylori infection were compared among the cases of mature varioliform gastritis,immature varioliform gastritis and commonerosivegastritis.The 134 cases were arranged into argon plasma coagulation (APC) group and drug group.The cases in APC group were given argon plasma coagulation and the cases in drug group were given drug treatment.Results The occurring rates of abdominal pain,distention,heartburn,hemafecia,intestinal metaplastia and atypical hyperplasia in the pathological results inthe cases of mature varioliform gastritis were higher than those in other cases(P ＜ 0.05 ),but there was not a significant difference of the rate of Helicobacter pylori infection (P ＞ 0.05).No significant differences between two groups regarding anti-Helicobacter pylori effects were observed(P ＞ 0.05).Conclusions As a special erosivegastritis,the cases with mature varioliform gastritis can have particular clinical symptoms.The argon plasma coagulation can be an optimal method to treat the disease.
