Abstract:Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of magnesium isoglycyrrhizinate and entecavir in the treatment of chronic severe hepatitis B.Methods Totally 54 patients with chronic severe hepatitis B in early period were randomly divided into two groups. The treatment group (29 cases) was treated with magnesium isoglycyrrhizinate( 150 mg/d)and entecavir(0.5 mg/d) ; the control group (25 cases) was treated with routine medical treatment alone.Changes in liver function and HBV-DNA serum level of the two groups were observed. Results Compared with pre-treatment,indexes of liver function such as total bilirubin (TBil),alanine amino transaminase (ALT),aspartic transaminase(AST),albumin(ALB) and prothrombin time(PT) were apparently improved in two groups after Treatment ( P < 0.05 ).Compared to those in the control group, level of serum TBil [ (70 ± 26) μmol/L vs 95 ±21)μmol/L] and the negative rate of HBV-DNA [7(24.1% ) vs 0(0) 、22(75.9% ) vs 0(0) 、24 (82.8% )vs 1 (4.0% ) ] in the treatment group after 2,4,6 weeks were all decreased significantly after treatment (P < 0.05 ).ALT,AST,ALB and PT showed no significant difference between the two groups[ ( 101 ± 19) U/L vs (94 ± 17 ) U/L、(75 ± 17)U/L vs (78 ± 17)U/L、(38 ±3)g/L vs (38 ±4)g/L、( 14 ±4)s vs (15 ±5)s,P >0.05].Conclusion Magnesium isoglycyrrhizinate lowbined with entecavir in the treatment of chronic severe hepatitis B has a good clinical efficacy and safety.
