Clinical analysis of improved subtotal thyroidectomy technique

Abstract：Objective To discuss surgery way of improved subtotal thyroidectomy technique.Methods From June 2006 to June 2009,the clinical data of 92 cases improvement type subtotalthyroidectomy technique were analyzed retrospectively.In 92 cases,primary hyperthyroidism had 71cases,the nodular goiter and hyperthyroidism 18 cases,Hashimoto's disease and hyperthyroidism 2 cases,the high function adenoma Ⅰ case.Results All patients cured completely.The operation was accomplished successfully without large amounts of blood losing during the operation,and without any injury of recurrent laryngeal nerve and superior laryngeal nerve,without twitches of the hand and foot.Follow-up visit for 1-4 years,the patients have no reoccrrence and low thyroid function.Conclusion Improved thyroid gland inferior total excision technique is simple,little damages and has few complication.
