Effect and safety of provastatin sodium in patients with hyperlipoproteinemia: a contrast study

Abstract：Objective To observe the effect and safety of domestic provastatin sodium in patients with hyperlipoproteinemia.Methods The 106 outpatients diagnosed of hyperlipemia were randomly divided into treatment group(53cases) and control group(53 cases).Treatment group took provastatin sodium 10 mg/d before sleeping.Cotrol group took placebo one pill before sleeping.A routine blood and urine test,the liver and kidney function,serum lipidemia,blood sugar were observed.Results After provastatin sodium treatment for 8 weeks,total cholesterol (Tch) 、low-density lipoprotein cholesterol ( LDL-C),triglyceride(TG) in both groups decreased,particularly in treatment group (P ＜0.05).The levels of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) both rose,but the treatment group showed a greater change ( P ＜ 0.05 ).Conclusion Domestic pravastatin sodium in the treatment of hyperlipidemic effect is significant and safe.
