High intensity focused ultrasound combined with special drugs for nonneoplasia epithelial disorders of skin and mucosa of vulva

Abstract：Objective To investigate the therapeutic methods and effect of high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) with special drugs for nonneoplasia epithelial disorders of skin and mucosa of vulva by. Methods The study group had three hundreds and seventy-six patients with nonneoplasia epithelial disorders of skin and mucosa of vulva. The patients were divided into two groups: A-group (single treated by HIFU) with 75 patients and B-group ( HIFU with drugs) with 301 patients. Fifty-six patients with same diseases treated singlely by traditional drugs were as control group. Results The curative rate of reliveving-pruritus, lichen sclerosus and vulvar leucoplakia in studing group (A and B) was statistically more effective in control group( P ＜0.05). The curative rate of pruritus and vulvar leucoplakia was 83.4％ (252/301) and 72. 1％ (217/301), respectively, better than that in the A-group which was 64.0％ (48/75). The area of vulvar leucoplakia statistically decreased after treatment ( P ＜ 0.05 ).Conclusion HIFU combined with special drugs was a safe, effective and repeatable method for the treatment of nonneoplasia epithelial disorders of skin and mucosa of vulva.
