Docetaxel combined with Nedaplatin and concomitant radiation therapy treatment of locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma

Abstract：Objective To investigate docetaxel combined with Nedaplatin and concomitant radiation therapy and two received radiotherapy for locally advanced nasopharyngeal cancer treatment clinical effect and toxicity.Methods Seventy and two patients with locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients with pathologically confirmed locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma were randomly assigned radiotherapy alone group 36 cases and the same chemoradiotherapy group of 36 cases.Radiotherapy alone group:Using a continuous exposure,5 times a week,each irradiation 2 Gy,the average dose to the nasopharynx 66 ～ 74 Gy/7 weeks,neck average dose 50 ～ 72 Gy/6.5 weeks.Over the same period chemoradiotherapy group:In the radiotherapy alone group on the basis of his race Jiaduo Xi same chemotherapy combined with Nedaplatin,docetaxel 75 mg/m2,intravenous infusion d1,Nedaplatin 20 mg/m2,intravenous drip d1 ～ 5,every 3 weeks for a course of treatment,a total of 2 courses.Results The patients in the control group during the same period the efficiency of 91.67％,up 100％ of group treatment were followed up for 3-year survival rate in control group 69.44％,up 88.9％ of group.3-year recurrence rate in the control group 8.33％,complications were 2.8％.Conclusions Docetaxel combined with nedaplatin and concomitant radiation therapy in the treatment of locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma effect better than that radiotherapy alone.
