Clinical research of morphine hydrochloride sustained-release tablet through two different methods of drug delivery in treatment of severe cancer pain

Abstract：Objective To study the clinical effect of morphine hydrochloride sustained-release tablet through two different methods of drug delivery in treatment of severe cancer pain. Methods Eighty-four cases of se vere cancer pain were randomly divided into oral treatment group(n = 42)and rectal administration group(n =42).Analgesic effect and adverse reaction of contrast were observed. Results After two-week's treatment,the effective rate was 88.1% and 83.3% in rectal administration group and oral treatment group.The incidence of the adverse reaction was 40.5% and 21.4% in the rectal administration group and the rectal administration group. Conclusion This study shows that morphine hydrochloride sustained-release tablet through rectally has good and safe effect.
