Clinical investigation of total glucosides of peony treating autoimmune hepatitis

Abstract：Objective To investigate the clinical effect of Total Glucosides of Peony(TGP)and cortical hormone for autoimmune hepatitis Methods Fifty patients with autoimmune hepatitis were divided into two groups:the treatment group(25cases)and control group(25cases).Both groups were given methyl-prednisolone.The treatment group was treated with hormone with the addition of TGP.The treatment courses of two groups were all 16weeks. Results After 16 weeks of treatment,the ALT,AST,Tbil,Serum albumin and IgG in the treatment group were lower than those in control group(P ＜ 0.05). Conclusions TGP and a small dose of cortical hormone is effective and safe for autoimmune hepatitis.
