The surgical treatment of acute non-cancerous perforation of colon

Abstract：Objective To investigate the cause,diagnosis and surgical treatment of acute non-cancerous perforation of colon.Methods The data of 18 case of colonic perforation from 1995 to 2005 were analyzed retrospectively.Results Of 18 cases,12 cases were surgical trauma colonic perforation;2 cases were inflammatory coIonic perforation;1 case were iatrogenic colonic perforation;1 case was foreign body iatrogenic colonic perforation and 2 cases were stercoral perforation of colon.11 cases were misdiagnosed;9 cases were sutured and 8 case were ostomied.One was ectomized and anastomosed.Conclusion The key to improve cure rate of the colonic perforation is early diagnosis,early operation and appropriate operative methods.
