Treatment of pneumoconiosis with TCM syndrome differentiation

Abstract：Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of three kinds of traditional Chinese medicine therapies on pneumoconiosis with TCM Syndrome Differentiation. Methods Totally 128 definited pneumoconiosis patients were divided into three group. Group A had Blood stasis and accumulation phlegm-typ lung; group B had hot-type lung and group C had cole-type lung by TCM Syndrome Differentiation. Each group also included treatment group and contrl group, and the treatment group were 24, 34, 12 cases, the control group were 20,29,9 cases. The control group was only administrated with routine supportive' treatment, the treatment group was given "1", "2" and "3" prescription respectively based on TCM syndrome differentiation. Results After treatment the total effective rates were 91.7%, 88.2% and 83.3%. Compared with the control group, group A and B differences were statisti-cally significant (P<0.05). The effective rates of treatment group Of A, B and C were 41.7%, 44.1%, 50.0%. Differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Three kinds of prescription which treat various types of pneumoconiosis patients are efficacy on both clinical symptoms and chest X-ray.
