Analysis of homocysteine level in patients with peripheral vascular disease in Qiqihar

Abstract：Objective To investigate homocysteine level in patients with peripheral vascular disease and the factors which affect it. Methods Routine examination of homcysteine was taken for 109 patients with lower extremities arteriosclerosis obliterans, deep venous thrombosis and lower extremity varicose vein. The values were statistically analyzed. Results The elevation rates of patients with lower extremities arteriosclerosis obliterans, deep venous thrombosis and lower extremity varicose vein in Qiqihar were 72.1%, 80.6% and 19.4% respectively. Conclusions The levels of homocysteine in patients with peripheral vascular disease in Qiqihar increased at different degree and were obviously affected by age and gender.
