Abstract:Objective To explore the therapeutic effects and safety of Hyperbaric Oxygen treating Hyper-baric oxygen (HBO) with acute progressive cerebral infarction (APCI). Methods Sixty-three patients were ran-domly divided into two groups. The control group (n = 30) was treated with conventional therapy for APCI, and the treatment group (n = 33) was treated with Hyperbaric Oxygen treatment, combined with conventional therapy for A-cute progressive cerebral infarction (ACI) for two weeks. Results After therapy, the scores of Nervous Functional Deficiency were lower than that observed before therapy, especially in the treatment group (6.32±2.63) vs (11.43±6.78)P<0.01;71.1% vs 50.6%,P<0.05). Conclusions Hyperbaric oxygen treatment is safe and effec-tive method for patients with acute progressive cerebral infarction.
