Abstract:Objective To investigate the influential factors of recurrence and distal metastasis after radical resection of rectal cancer. Methods The Cox model was used to analyze the information response in 160 cases of rectal cancer patients from January 1973 to December 2003. 152 cases of radical surgery cases were studied. 20 groups of clinical and pathological factors were analyzed. Results The follow-up rate was 95.4%. Surgical resec-tion rate was 95.0%. Five-year survival rate was 48.0% (73/152). Conclusion There were 6 influential factors of recurrence and distal metastasis after radical resection of rectal cancer:stages, primary tumor size, depth of inva-sion, lymph node metastasis and histological type.
