Abstract：Objective To explore the effect of endoscopic probe dilation on esophagus and cardia stenosis.Methods The retrospective analysis was performed in 232 patients with esophagus and cardia stenosis who underwent endoscopic probe dilation.Results Deglutition difficulty was improved in 95 patients disappeared in 102 patients and had no change in 35 patients after the treatment.The total effective rate was 84.9%(197/232).The effective rate of benign stricture was 80.2%(186/232),and the effective rate of malignant stricture was 4.7%(11/232).The overall incidence was 0.9%.Conclusion Endoscopic probe dilation is a safe and effective method of treating esophagus and cardia stenosis.
