The prevention of iatrogenic pneumothorax

Abstract：Objective To investigate the reasons and preventive measures of iatrogenic pneumothorax. Methods Retrospective analysis was done in 28 cases suffering from iatrogenic pneumothorax diagnosed from October 1998 to December 2008. Results The reasons of iatrogenic pneumothorax were various, but mainly related to improper operation. Conclusion Rigorous and normative operations and timely treatments are critical to prevent the iatrogenic pneumothorax.
