Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of megadose Cytidine Diphosphate Choline on de-layed encephalopathy caused by acute carbon monoxide poisoning. Methods One hundred and twenty-four patients with delayed encephalopathy resulting from acute carbon monoxide poisoning were randomly divided into treatment group (68 patients) and comparison group (56 patients). The comparison group was given Cytidine Diphosphate Choline Injection 0.5 g with glucose Injection 300 ml, once a day and 21 days as a period of treatment. The treat-ment group had Cytidine Diphosphate Choline 3.0 g, At the 0,7,14,21 days during therapy, the concentration of Ly-sophosphatidic(LPA) and Lpaalike phospholids (AP) were tested. Results Totally effective rate was 92.8% in the treatment group and 67.6% in the comparison group, showing a significant difference (P < 0.05). The concen-trations of LPA ad AP in treatment group were decreased after treatment (P < 0.01), but there was not significant differences in comparison group (P > 0.05). Conclusion Megadoso Cytidine Diphosphate Choline effectively de-lays encephalopathy after acute carbon monoxide poisoning.
