Effect of Tongrentang Huayu Pill combined with butylphthalide on cerebral infarction

Abstract：Objective To observe the curative effect of Tongrentang Huayu Pill combined with Bu-tylphthalide on cerebral infarction. Method Seventy-nine patients with cerebral infarction were randomly divided into observation group that was treated with Tongrentang Huayu Pill and Butylphthalide. The control group received troxerutin tablet and ligustrazine injection. Neurological deficit score, cerebral infarction area and total effective rate were evaluated after treated for one month. Results Before treatment, both groups showed no significant difference in neurological deficit score (P > 0.05 ), but after treatment the scores in observation group were obviously higher than those in control group [(62.14 ±8.35)vs (69.53 ± 7.84 ), P < 0.05]. After treatment for one month, cere-bral infarction area in observation group showed smaller and total effective rate was higher than those in control group (P <0.05 ). Conclusion Tongrentang Huayu Pill combined with Butylphthalide was effective in treating patients with cerebral infarction.
