Comparison between corcaco-clavicular ligament repaired and unrepaired for acute acromioclavicular join dislocation with clavicular hook plate

Abstract：Objective To compare the therapeutic effects of corcaco-clavicular ligament repaired and unrepaired on treatment of the acute Tossy Ⅲ acromioclavicular join dislocation with clavicular hook plate internal fixation. Methods Thirty one cases with the acute Tossy Ⅲ acromioclavicular join dislocation were divided into tow groups: Group Ⅰ (16 cases with corcaco-clavicular ligament repaired), Group Ⅱ (15 cases withcorcaco-clavicular ligament unrepaired). All the patients of two groups were fixed with clavicular hook plates. These patients were followed up for 12 months on average. Results Group Ⅱ had less opiating time,blood loss than group Ⅰ (P > 0.01)There was no significant difference between the group Ⅰ and the group Ⅱ in complications(P > 0.05), especially there were no acromioclavicular join redislocation after the Clavicular hook plates were taken out. Conclusion Corcaco-clavicular ligament repair is effective for acute Tossy Ⅲ acromioelavicular join dislocation.
