Self-made controller for specimen bag in laparoscopic surgery

Abstract：Objective To evaluate the value of self-make controller for specimen bag in laparoscopic surgery. Methods Five cases with single-side nonfunctional kidney, 3 single-side kidney tumour, 13 cholecyslithiasis,3 cholecyspolyp and 18 ovarian tumour were operated with laparoscopy and self-make controller for specimen bag was used during operations. Results The average time for taking out the specimen of kidney, gallbladder,ovarian tumour was 9 min, 5 min, 6 min respectively, shorter than others with rubber gloves specimen bag. No post-operative hemorrhage and peritonitis and cut infection occurred. 2 patients of kidney tumour had slight hypodermatic pneumatosis. Conclusion The use of self-made controller for specimen bag in laparoscopic surgery is superior to rubber gloves specimen bag.
