Curative effect of propafenone for treating narrow QRS wave paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia

Abstract：Objective To explore the curative effect of propafenone for treating narrow QRS wave paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia. Methods Total 36 cases of patients were randomly divided into two groups A and B. Group A was intravenously injected 1 mg dosage of Propafenone per kilogram of body mass respectively. The intravenous injections lasted two minutes. Group B was intravenously injected on the base of group A respectively but the Propafenone were diluted with 10 ml of 5% glucose. The intravenously injections lasted 5 minutes. The cardioversion rate, cardioversion time and untoward reaction incidence rate of each group were observed. Results The fastersthe administration rates, the quicker the sinus rhythm appears and the lower the adverse Effect was. But the cardioversion success rate and cardioversion time showed no great difference. Conclusion The narrow QRS wave paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia could be quickly stopped with intravenous injection of propafenone.
