Gelatin Kushen improves vagina microenvironment in patients with senile vaginitis

Abstract：Objective To observe the changes of vagina microenvironment in senile vaginitis treated with gelatin Kushen. Methods Sixty-seven cases of senile vaginitis were treated with premare or premare combined with gelatin Kushen. After adopting vaginal fluid smear, Gram's stain examination was applied to determine the half value of vaginal lactobacilli before treatment, 7 days and 30 days after treatment. Results The detectable rates of vaginal lactobacilli were similar before treatment between the 2 groups(P=0.716). Seven days after treatment, the rate was slightly high in observation group(P=0.562). However, 30 days after treatment the rate was higher in observation group than that in control group (P=0.023). Conclusion Premare combined with gelatin Kushen can improve vagina microenvironment.
