Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical significance of the expression of Kiss-1 gene in progression of laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma(LSCC). Methods The expression of Kiss-1 protein was detected by immunohistochemistry metheod in 53 cases with LSCC, 24 cases of adjacent cancer tissues and 10 cases of laryngeal normal muscosa. The expression of Kiss-1 was analyzed in LSCC with different elinicopathogical parameters. Results The expression of Kiss-1 in normal tissues(90.0%)and adjacent tissues (79.2%) was higher than that in LSCC (39.6%) (P<0.01). The Kiss-1 expression was related with TNM staging and lymph node metastasis. Conculusion The Kiss-1 expression may be correlated with the progression of laryngeal carcinoma.
