Efficacy of Weilikang in treatment of functional dyspepsia

Abstract：Objective To evaluate the efficacy of Weilikang in treatment of functional dyspepsia. Methods One hundred and seven cases suffering from functional dyspepsia were randomized into 2 groups: therapy group,(n=54) and control group, (n=53) . The therapy group were given Weilikang 10 gram, three times a day; while the control group were given Domperidone 10 mg, three times a day for 2 weeks. The improvement of symptoms and side effects of the drugs were observed by the end of 2 weeks. Results There was significant difference in therapeutic effects between therapy group and control group (P < 0.05). In addition the severe side effects were not found in treatment group. Conclusion Weilikang can improve the gastrointestinal motility, relieve the symptoms in patients suffering from functional dyspepsia.
