Roxithromycin for IgG antibody positive chlamydia pneumoniae migraine

Abstract:Objective To study therapeutic effect of Roxithromycin on IgG antibody positive chlamydia pneumoniae migraine. Methods Seventy-four migraine cases with IgG antibody positive chlamydia pneumonias were randomly divided into treatment group and control group. The treatment group was treated with oral Roxithromycin and Nimodipine, and the control group was only treated with Nimodipine. Results The effective rates were 97. 3% and 89. 19% in treatment group and control group respectively. There was no significant difference of chlamydia pneumoniae antibody lgG in both groups before and after therapy (P>0.05). Conclusion For IgG autibody positive chcamydia pneumoniae migraine, combined Roxithromycin and Nimodipine capsule is superior to solo Nimodipine. Meanwhile chlamydia pneumoniae infection is probably one cause of migraine.
