Diagnosis and treatment of patients with moderate and severe renal trauma

Abstract:Objective To observe the diagnosis and treatment of patients with moderate and severe renal trauma.Methods Seventy-nine cases of renal trauma were retrospectively analysed.Fony-nine patients with American Association for the Surgery of Trauma kidney injury scale Ⅲ and Ⅳ were treated with nonoperative treatment and 30 patients were treated with operation.Results In Nonoperative treatment group,46 patients reserved their kidney.Conclusion Nonoperative treatment is a reasonable option for patients with blunt renal injury as well as the hemodynamieally stable patients with penetrating renal injury.The open wound can be closed at the first stage.
