Abstract:Objective To evaluate the clinical effect of artificial femoral head replacement for treatment of unstable femoral intertrochanteric fracture in patients over 75 years old.Methods Seventy-seven cases of femoral intertrochanteric fractures aged over 70 years were treated with artificial femoral head replacement.Results One patient died after operation.The curative effect was excellent.Conclusion Artificial femoral head replacement is an effective method to treat the aged patients with femoral intertrochanteric fractures.
