Abstract：Objective To observe the value of high-resolution ultrasound detection of intima-media thickness(IMT)in carotid artery and femoral artery in patients with diabetes mellitus and toevaluate hemodynamic.Methods Seventy-nine cases were examined with IMT of carotid artery and femoral artery in patients with diabetes mellitus by 2D and high.resolution ultrasound.Examine changes on IMT and atherosclerosis plaques.Resuits The IMT and incidence of atherosclerosis plaque had no significant difierence between both sides of arteries.The atheroselerosis plaques were more frequently found in femoral artery.Male patients had significantly higher IMT than those in females.The use of carotid artery IMT combined with femoral artery IMT cab improve the diagnostica accuracy Conclusion High-resolution ultrasound has the advantage of showing vascular changes from function to structure in patient with diabetea.It is useful for diagnosis of vascular diseases in patients of diabetes.
