Expression of ABCG2 in lung cancer cell strains A549 and SPCA1

Abstract：Objective The aim of this study is to investigate the expression of ABCG2 in lung cancer cell strains A549 and SPCA1.Methods ABCG2 mRNA expression was determined by semi quantitative reverse tran-scription PCR,and ABCG2 protein expression was analyzed by flow cytometric assay.Results The ABCG2 mRNA and protein was readily detected in both cell lines.The ABCG2 expression level in A549 was slightly high than that in SPCA1.Conclusion ABCG2 is closely related to lung cancer and may be involved in the pathogenesis of lung cancer.
