Effect of Jia Jian You Gui Yin on chondrocyte apoptosis in experimental osteoarthritis

Abstract：Objective To observe the changes of chondrocytes apoptosis of experimental osteoarthritis (OA)in rabbits.Methods The left knees of rabbits were immobilized in full extension for eight weeks using plaster cast.Changes of morphology of chondrocyte were observed by light microscopy and transmission electron microscopy and examined by flow cytometry for apoptosis percentage.Results Compared with others,apoptosis cell index of JiaJian YouGiu Ying group had significant differences(P＜0.05).Conclusion Jia Jian You Gui Yin decreases the apoptosis of chondrocytes and shows therapeutic effect for experimental osteoarthritis.
