Diaganosis and treatment of pulmonary benign metastasizing leimyomatosis and literature review

Abstract：Objective To observe the clinical and pathological characteristics, diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary benign metastasizing leiomyomatosis(PBML) . Methods One case of PBML was reported with clinical and pathological features and differential diagnosis, meanwhile, related literature was reviewed. Results Clinical manifestation is lack of specificity. Multiple nodules in two lungs were fund in CT image. Microscopically, the tumor was mainly composed of well-developed smooth muscle cells, which was positive with VIM, DES, Actin, ER and PR and negative for CD34. Conclusion PBML is a rare benign tumor and relies on the pathological diagnosis.
