Expression of vascular endothelial growth factor and microvessel density in endometrial simple hyperplasia and prolifefrative phase endometrium in patients with abnormal uterine bleeding

Abstract：Objectlve To observe the expression of Vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)and Microvessel density(MVD)detected in endometrial simple hyperplasia and proliferative phase endometrium in patients with abnormal uterine bleeding(AUB).Methods Thirty cases of AUB were included in the study.Endometrial biopsys were divided into 2 groups according to pathologic results:endometrial simple hyperplasia group and proliferative phase endometrium group.VEGF、MVD were measured with immunohistochemistry and were analyzed with a computerized image analyzer.Results Expression of VEGF、and MVD in the simple hyperplasia group was the higher than the proliferative phase endometrium group.Conclusion Expression of VEGF and MVD in glandular epithelium were significant different between the simple hyperplasia group and the proliferative phase endometrium group(P＜0.01).VEGF phys an important role in endometrial simple hyperplasia of patients with AUB.
