Combined compound azintamide and trimebutine in treatment of functional dyspepsia

Abstract:Objective To observe the effect of combined compound azintamide and trimebutine on functional dyspepsia (FD). Methods One hundred and four FD patients were randomly divided into two groups.The observation group (n = 54) were given both compound azintamid and trimebutine and the control group (n =50) were only given compound azintamide. Clinical symptoms in both groups were recorded for comparison. Results There was no significant difference between two groups in abdominal fullness and improving appetites, but the combined therapy could significantly reduce the frequency of further medical consultation. There were no side effects in any patients during therapy. Conclusion Combined compound azintamide and trimebutine is an optimistic therapy in FD patients with the symptoms of upper and lower abdominal upset.
