Cause analysis and measure study of typical cases of water gate accidents

Abstract：An in-depth analysis was conducted on 50 typical cases of water gate accidents in China.Features of water gate accidents are summarized.Main causes and impacts of water gate accidents are explained from the aspects of exceeding standard floods,aging and disrepair of engineering structures,inadequate maintenance of metal structures and electrical equipment,and improper operation and management.It is proposed to strict engineering design and control of construction quality,accelerate removal and reinforcement of hazard water gates,standardize daily operation and maintenance,strengthen safety monitoring,establish safety management system,and consolidate financial support,operational management and supervision.
