Study on the management modes and investment rules of the small and medium-sized rivers in China

Abstract:Management of small and medium-sized rivers is essential for regional flood control and improving people's quality of life.Optimizing management modes and funding allocation for these rivers contributes to high-quality promotion of systematic management and maximizes the benefits.Based on the survey and statistical data regarding the basic characteristics,the current management status,and the investment situation,this study examines the quantity,distribution,and features of small and medium-sized rivers in the country,as well as their management priorities,modes and investment rules.The results show that small and medium-sized rivers vary significantly in management modes,measures,standards,and investment levels per kilometer across regions and types.This study identifies priorities and appropriate management modes for these rivers,uncovers the influencing factors and temporal trends in management investment,and offers theoretical insights to enhance the quality and efficiency of small and medium-sized river management.
