Abstract:The digital twin Pi River, based on the characteristics of the Pi River basin and driven by flood control needs, proposes a technical solution.Leveraging the existing data sensing, network transmission, and computational environments in Anhui Province, the construction includes foundational platforms such as a basin data baseboard,a hydraulic modeling platform, and a water resources knowledge platform. On these platforms, applications for flood forecasting, early waming, rehearsal, and planning, known as the"four pre"applications, are established. The"four pre"applications provide a foundation for refined flood forecasting,multi-stage early warning for downstream polder areas and other protected objects,scenario-based flood rehearsals for analyzing flood impacts, and intelligent generation of flood contingency plans rapidly and automatically.By summarizing the construction content of the digital twin Pi River, this paper further explores the difficulties and challenges encountered in building digital twin basins, offering references for similar projects.
