Explorations and practices of dynamic remote sensing monitoring of rivers and lakes in Jiangsu Province

Abstract：After years of practice in Jiangsu Province,satellite remote sensing monitoring technology has become an important means for monitoring and managing rivers and lakes.Starting from 2023,Jiangsu Province has conducted daily dynamic remote sensing monitoring using"two rivers and two lakes"as pilots.High-resolution satellite and unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)intelligent inspection technology has been employed to comprehensively investigate and establish a database of existing issues.A dynamic system for monitoring and handling illegal occupation of rivers and lakes,namely"immediate detection,pre-handling,and dynamic clearing",has been established to address new issues promptly.This system facilitates the"early detection,early prevention,and early treatment"of violations,effectively preventing large-scale illegal activities related to rivers and lakes.It provides immediate solutions for river and lake management and law enforcement and offers valuable insights for the spatial control of other rivers and lakes.
