Abstract：Based on the key features and challenges faced by river governance and protection in the new stage,the analysis focuses on the urgent need for scientific and technological innovation in high-quality protection,security and development of the river basin.Explorations are made on the key tasks of promoting new quality productive forces,and feasible paths of boosting ecological-based water governance,smart river basins,green economic belts,and beautiful Yangtze River construction through scientific and technological innovation.
