Abstract:Reservoir dams serve as crucial nodes for water regulation within the national water network, playing a vital role in mitigating flood and drought disasters, optimizing water resource allocation, recovering the ecological environment of rivers and lakes, and enhancing capacity to safeguard national water security.Under the new situation, the operational management of reservoir dams in China faces increasingly prominent risks.Addressing challenges such as low levels of informatization and intelligence in operational management, deficiencies in safety equipment and technology, and inadequate emergency management and technical capabilities, this paper proposes safety strategies focusing on enhancing dam resilience for flood control, improving safety management practices, implementing dam diagnosis and reinforcement measures, and enhancing emergency response capabilities. The aim is to provide valuable insights for enhancing the safety standards of reservoir dams.
