Abstract：In December 2023,the first contract of carbon sink trading for soil and water conservation project was successfully signed in Changting County,Fujian Province.This has a symbolic and demonstrative significance for promoting high-quality development of soil and water conservation work,and practical implications to include trading of soil and water conservation carbon sinks in the mechanism of voluntary reduction of greenhouse gas emission.The project team conducted a comprehensive study and summarized the main practices and first trading of carbon sink for soil and water conservation project in China,in order to provide demonstration and guidance for the trading of carbon sink in soil and water conservation projects.
