Summary and reflection on the mid-term construction effectiveness of the Ecological Belt in Guangdong

Abstract：The high-quality construction of the Ecological Belt is a significant decision and deployment made by the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government to implement Xi Jinping's ecological civilization thought.It represents a major innovative initiative in Guangdong Province,comprehensively implementing the river chief system and lake chief system,and integrating systematic governance of mountains,water,forests,fields,lakes,and grasses.Since the approval and implementation of the General Plan for Guangdong Ecological Belt(2020-2035),construction practices have been carried out across the province in accordance with the planned conceptual framework,target requirements,and construction tasks of the Ecological Belt.This study provides a comprehensive summary of the Ecological Belt construction goals,the status of the"5+1"construction tasks,and the effectiveness of operation and maintenance across the province.Additionally,the paper reviews the experiences gained during the construction of the Ecological Belt,analyzes existing issues,and proposes strategic recommendations for advancing further Ecological Belt construction.These insights aim to facilitate the development of happy rivers and lakes in Guangdong,ensuring the promotion of high-quality ecological civilization development,and offering references for promoting ecological civilization construction in various regions.
