An exploration of high-quality development of ecologically-sound and clean small watersheds

Abstract：The development of ecologically-sound and clean small watersheds represents innovation and progress in soil and water conservation,presenting a new model for the scientific management of small watersheds.In recent years,the Party Central Committee and the State Council have set forth new and elevated requirements for the high-quality development of ecologically-sound and clean small watersheds.This paper reviews the development process,construction achievements,and major issues,providing an elaborate description of the attributes and features of ecologically-sound and clean small watersheds from aspects including connotation characteristics,extension and expansion,function analysis,and feature analysis.The development needs are assessed considering state requirements,public demand,and soil conservation needs.Based on this evaluation,development recommendations are proposed.
