Discussions on risk management of soil and water conservation

Abstract：Risk management has been widely adopted and extended in many areas. However, there is few theory and practice relating to soil and water conservation risk management that will provide a new theory and methodology for information -based and modernized management. In accordance with international standards of risk management, the risks of soil erosion and connotation of soil and water conservation risk management are defined. Considering the actual situation of soil and water conservation, the processes of risk management of soil and conservation are worked out, including environment establishment, risk assessment, risk response, dynamic monitoring and evaluation of soil and water loss. Discussions are made on working contents of each process, in order to facilitate the progress of risk management of soil and water conservation.
