Progress in the study of the effect of seminal plasma exosomes on the function of the reproductive system

Abstract：Seminal plasma exosomes(SE)are extracellular vesicles secreted by the epithelial cells of male gonads or ac-cessory gonads,which deliver various substances closely related to the maturation of sperm,such as proteins,RNA,lipids,and ions.Numerous studies have shown that SE plays an extremely important mediating role in a series of physiological processes such as sperm maturation,antioxidation,capacitation and fertilization.This article focuses on the latest research achievements of SE in the reproductive system,aiming to provide important theoretical references for the diagnosis,treatment of reproductive sys-tem diseases and the improvement of assisted reproductive technologies.
