A Case Report of Squamous Cell Carcinoma with Osteosarcomatous Differentiation of the Penis and Literature Review
Abstract:Penile malignancy is a serious disease that threatens health. Phimosis and redundant prepuce are the main risk factors for the occurrence of penile malignancy, and the common histological type is squamous cell carcinoma [1]. Penile sarcomatoid squamous cell carcinoma, also known as sarcomatoid carcinoma or spindle cell carcinoma, is a morphological variant of penile squamous cell carcinoma. This histological type is extremely rare, accounting for 1% to 2% of penile cancers, and is characterized by high local metastasis rate and high mortality [2].
