Report on 1,054 Cases of Adult Circumcision Using a Hemostatic Tourniquet Combined with 'Pre-Suturing at the Frenulum' with a Circumcision Stapler
Abstract:Since the first report in 2013 on the use of a single-use circumcision stapler for circumcision [1], the stapler circumcision technique has been widely adopted in hospitals at all levels across China in the past decade. As a new surgical method for treating phimosis and redundant prepuce, stapler circumcision offers advantages such as short learning time, simple operation, short surgery duration, and high patient satisfaction with postoperative appearance [2]. However, it still carries certain complications, with a relatively high incidence of intraoperative and postoperative bleeding. Therefore, our research team applied the stapler circumcision technique to treat adult phimosis and redundant prepuce, using an improved method of combining a hemostatic tourniquet with 'pre-suturing at the frenulum', achieving good therapeutic effects. The details are as follows.
