Clinical Observation of Low-Intensity Pulsed Ultrasound in the Treatment of Chronic Prostatitis/Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome
Abstract:Chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CP/CPPS), also known as type III prostatitis, is the most common subtype of chronic prostatitis (CP). Most patients with CP/CPPS suffer from chronic pelvic pain without any evidence of inflammatory infection, and there are currently no effective treatments for CP/CPPS in clinical practice. Therefore, it is particularly important to explore a novel and effective treatment method. This study used low-intensity pulsed ultrasound (LIPUS) to treat CP/CPPS and achieved satisfactory therapeutic effects, as described below.
