A Case Report of Well-Differentiated Papillary Mesothelioma of the Epididymis with a Literature Review
Abstract:Well-differentiated papillary mesothelioma occurring in the tunica vaginalis of the testis is very rare, and even more rare when it occurs in the epididymis. There have been only three reported cases in domestic and foreign literature [1-3]. Its clinical features are not specific. In order to enhance its recognition, we report a case of well-differentiated papillary mesothelioma of the epididymis treated by the Department of Urology, Wuhan Wuchang Hospital, Wuhan University of Science and Technology in May 2024, combined with a review of the literature. This study was approved by the Ethics Committee of Wuhan University of Science and Technology Affiliated Wuhan Wuchang Hospital (Approval No.: 2024012), and informed consent was obtained from the patient.
