Characteristics of Ultrasound Contrast in the Mouse Model of Prostate Cancer Treated by Protamine
Abstract:Objectives: To study the value of ultrasound contrast employed inthe treatment of prostate cancer in mouse model with protamine. Methods: A piece of human prostate carcinoma (PCA) PC-3m was transplanted subcutaneously into 24 male Balb/c nude mice. The grid number of flow signal's pixel was measured with the computer, and its result was compared with MVD. Results: Ultrasound contrast could enhance flow signal of tumor significantly (P<0.01), which was correlative significantly with MVD (P<0.05). Conclusions: The measurement of flow signal by ultrasound contrast is useful in the flow quantification of experimental tumor. Ntl J Androl,2001,7(1):14~16
